The Details and the Dreads
Sure, they got the tats right. The statue showcased Wayne’s famous ink. But the face? Not quite. Some even argued it looked more like Toosii sporting dreads than the Tha Carter mastermind himself.
Wayne Weighs In
Lil Wayne took to Twitter, giving a side-eye to the wax attempt. “Sorry wax museum but dat sh_t ain’t me! You tried tho and I appreciate the effort,” he expressed. But the Twitter verse? Not so kind. Their reactions echoed their sentiments towards the bizarrely rendered wax of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson just days prior.

The Legacy of Lil Wayne
For the uninitiated, Lil Wayne, also known as Weezy, is a hip-hop legend. Starting out with the Hot Boys, he later became the face of Cash Money Records and launched Young Money Entertainment. His album series Tha Carter cemented his place in hip-hop royalty.
Waxing Philosophical
So, what’s the verdict on Weezy’s wax? A redo? Perhaps. But it reflects the tricky business of capturing legends in wax form.
