Millenials Vs. Baby Boomers…
Have you ever been told to “never discuss how much money you make?” I mean, it’s good practice, because it doesn’t do much good, if any, to reveal how much you make. However, millennials have decided this doesn’t apply to them.
In fact, research shows that 33% of millennials have told a co-worker what their salary is. 48% of them have told their romantic partner, 58% have told a friend, and a whopping 64% of millennials have told a family member, who isn’t a spouse, how much money they make. Baby Boomer numbers are much lower than this across the board.
Are millennials more open to sharing their personal information or are they trying to be more informed about making financial related decisions?
