LAME OR FLAMES…
Trippie Redd’s debut studio album, LIFE’S A TRIP, was released on August 10, 2018. According to Trippie, the album was initially set to have somewhere around 26 songs on it, but it now has a mere 14. Six singles were released prior to the album becoming available.
Here’s my list from least flames to most flames. Song info provided by Genius.
NO. 14 – “Bird S**t”
NO. 13 – “Underwater FlyZone”
The lyrics are most likely about then ex-girlfriend Angvish, who Trippie Redd was with for several months before breaking up and then reuniting sometime later.
NO. 12 – “Oomps Revenge”
A tribute song dedicated to his late brother. In an interview with Big Boy, Trippie said the reason he started rapping, to begin with, was to honor his older brother. He even has a tattoo of this song’s title on the side of his face.
NO. 11 – “Shake It Up”
An explicit song about Trippie and his experiences with girls performing sexually for him.

NO. 10 – “Gore”
“GORE” is all about winning, being at the top, and ignoring drama and haters. The definition of the word “gore” refers to blood that has been shed due to a result of violence. Throughout the song, Trippie states if one were to talk bad about him, gore would be the outcome.
NO. 9 – “Missing My Idols”
Previously titled “Can You Rap Like Me 2/ Missing My Idols,” it is a sequel to Trippie’s braggadocios track “Can You Rap Like Me”.
NO. 8 – “UKA UKA”
The track gets its name from the cruel and malicious main villain of the Crash Bandicoot video game franchise, a floating voodoo mask spirit. Trippie is a fan of Crash Bandicoot and has even named another song after the franchise.
NO. 7 – “How You Feel”
Trippie takes a step away from his usual SoundCloud rap style, and integrates some of his rock background, including more of his singing vocals and guitar instrumentals sampling Eddie Money’s “Baby Hold On.”
NO. 6 – “Together”
NO. 5 – “Forever Ever” (Feat. Young Thug & Reese LAFLARE)
Teaming up with Young Thug, the two rap about love, women and of course, their wealth. The track was originally called “Hakuna Matata.”
NO. 4 – “BANG!”
In the intro and outro of the song, several audio clips of “bang” and gunshots are being played. These are sampled from the Japanese animated series Inuyashiki.
NO. 3 – “Taking a Walk”
On this track, Trippie is actually referencing death which contrasts with the happy sounding beat.
NO. 2 – “Wish” by Diplo (Feat. Trippie Redd)
“Wish” focuses on one of Trippie’s prior relationships and the emotional tolls that came with it.
NO. 1 – “Dark Knight Dummo” (Feat. Travis Scott)
The title seems to be a reference to the groundbreaking 2008 Christoper Nolan Batman film, “The Dark Knight.” It also seems to make reference to 6ix9ine’s “Gummo,” which is where the “Dummo” from the title comes from.
