The third annual Apple Music Award winners were announced on Tuesday (November 30).
The awards recognize the best artists of 2021 and celebrate their influence on culture throughout the globe. The Apple Music Awards named The Weeknd for Artist of the Year, H.E.R. as Songwriter of the Year, Olivia Rodrigo as Breakthrough Artist of the Year, Top Song of the Year for her song “Drivers License”, and Top Album of the Year for her album, SOUR. An additional category was introduced this year. Regional Artist of the Year was awarded to artists in five countries. WizKid was named for Africa, Aya Nakamura won for France, Rin for Germany, OFFICIAL HIGE DANDISM for Japan, and Scriptonite for Russia.
