Normani Announces Dopamine Release Date, Releases Single
Former Fifth Harmony member Normani is stepping into the spotlight with her debut album, Dopamine, scheduled for release on June 14 through RCA. In a conversation with Jasmine Fox-Suliaman for Who What Wear, she described the album as “liberation” and “a season of freedom,” highlighting her personal and artistic growth throughout its creation. Normani initially had different titles for her debut album, including “1906” and “Butterfly Effect,” which were later changed to “Dopamine.”
Single Release: “1:59” Featuring Gunna

Early Life and Rise to Fame
Normani Kordei Hamilton, known simply as Normani, was born on May 31, 1996, in Atlanta, Georgia. Her family moved to Houston, Texas, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005. A former member of the wildly successful girl group Fifth Harmony, she first caught the public’s eye on “The X Factor USA,” where the group was formed.
