Houston’s Powerhouse Duo Lights Up the Stage

Beyoncé, the global music icon, is nearing the end of her Renaissance World Tour, and she recently graced the stage at Houston’s NRG Stadium for two spectacular nights. She surprised fans during the Saturday evening performance by inviting fellow Houston native Megan Thee Stallion to join her. Together, they delivered a riveting live rendition of their Grammy-awarded track, “Savage Remix.” Clips from this performance have since gone viral. Watch below:

A Tour to Remember

The Renaissance World Tour started with a grand opening in Stockholm in May, where Beyoncé first performed Savage Remix. Since then, the song has become a regular feature of her setlist. Throughout the tour, Beyoncé has been joined by a star-studded lineup of guests, including Kendrick Lamar, the legendary Diana Ross, and her talented daughter, Blue Ivy. The tour is set to wrap up in Kansas City on Sunday, October 1. Check out photos from the tour here.

The Rise of “Savage Remix”

Megan Thee Stallion first introduced “Savage” to the world on her album Suga in March 2020. Shortly after, she collaborated with Beyoncé to produce the “Savage Remix.” This collaboration garnered them nominations for Best Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, and Record of the Year at the 2021 Grammy Awards. While they clinched the first two accolades, Billie Eilish, the Record of the Year winner, acknowledged that Megan Thee Stallion deserved the recognition, leading to a standing ovation for the Houston rapper.

Megan’s Recent Endeavors

Besides collaborating with Beyoncé, Megan Thee Stallion has been making waves in the music industry. She recently collaborated with Cardi B on a track titled “Bongos” and showcased it at the MTV Video Music Awards. Additionally, fans saw her in a teaser for the upcoming season of Netflix’s popular show, Big Mouth. Although she was slated to perform at the Global Citizen Festival in New York’s Central Park on September 23, she had to withdraw due to a last-minute scheduling issue.
