If there’s a special sneakerhead in your life, you may want to add these exclusive drops to your Christmas shopping list.
Nike Air Fear of God 1 (December 15th)
The creator of the streetwear brand Fear of God, Jerry Lorenzo, is creating an entirely new silhouette for Nike.
So, why do I care? Most collaborations with Nike involve simply re-coloring shoes the mega-brand already has. For example, Travis Scott’s collab with the Air Jordan IV. Same Air Jordan IV, new colorway.
Lorenzo says that the Fear of God 1’s will be centered around shape and feel of the shoe.
“I knew that I couldn’t come here and color up a retro and be successful. My greatest proposition of fashion is in shape and proportion. I was very clear with Nike—like, ‘Hey, this is what I can offer.’”
The Fear of God x Nike shoe is priced at $395, but is already listed on Footlocker’s app for $3000.
Adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 ‘Semi Frozen Yellow’ (Restock, December 14th)
One of the most highly-coveted releases to date is finally getting a restock.
So, why do I care? Restocks are important to know about so you don’t buy the shoe at a higher re-sell price when you could cop straight from the store. This particular pair will sell for $220 at retailers like FootLocker, where you can use their app to reserve a pair ahead of time.
Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Origin Story” (December 14th)
Inspired by the new Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film, the Air Jordan 1 “Origin Story” is a spin on the classic “Chicago” colorway.
So, why do I care? The shoe features a textured upper (paying homage the Spider-Man suit) and sits on top of a translucent blue sole. In the film, Miles Morales is shown wearing the kicks, so this is a cool gift for the Marvel fan in your life.
