Remember about five years ago when Lil Yachty called Biggie and Tupac, “overrated?”
Well, now the rapper cleared up his stance during a recent interview with Zane Lowe for Apple Music. “I never meant to disrespect. I was just being honest,” said Yachty. He then addressed the controversy during an interview with HipHopDX. When asked if he had gone back and listened to the legendary rappers Yachty says, “I wouldn’t say study up, but I definitely went back and listened for about 30 seconds.” Yachty also revealed to Lowe that he had never been hated like he was after his comment on Biggie and Tupac saying, “people hated me after that, like death threats, just a lot…so many people just automatically trying to dump me like he’s whack, he’s corny…But it taught me a lot. It built my character up and made me so strong.” Yachty says, “you don’t have to study Picasso to be a painter,” do you agree?
