The D.C. Sniper Gets a Documentary, and He Stars in It From Prison There is a new documentary chronicling the DC Sniper from 2002. John Allen Muhammad and Lee Boyd Malvo were the snipers who killed 10 people at gas stations and shopping areas. Lee is serving a life sentence and the subject of Vice’s I, Sniper. It is an eight-part docuseries. The docuseries took years to complete as Vice was only permitted to interview Lee in 15 minute intervals.
