Kanye West announced “The Future Brunch” will air on his Facebook page on Tuesday (March 1).
Kanye hosted a brunch with leaders in Black media, including Hollywood Unlocked’s Jason Lee on February 6th. During the gathering, the group discussed brand ownership, disparities in Black media, and the importance of controlling your own narrative. Kanye posted a clip from the brunch where he told the attendees, “This is a time when we not gonna back down. We not gonna have people say ‘Oh you need to stop communicating because you gonna look ramped up…” Elsewhere in the video, Kanye said, “I want us to control our own story. Our primary focus in America should be on empowering our Black leaders. It is critical that we join forces.” Earlier in February Kanye declared, “no more Black history,” and declared “Black Future Month,” where there is a focus on the future instead of the past, how do you feel about Kanye’s declaration?
