Cardi B is headed for another chart-topper with the arrival of the new Migos and Nicki Minaj collab “MotorSport.” But for those of us patiently waiting for an eventual Beyoncé collab, we need to chill.
Last night at the Powerhouse concert, Billboard caught up with Cardi to ask her about the IG post from recording engineer Michael Ashby that started the rumors. “Harper, I don’t know that man,” she told Billboard. “I don’t know him!”, “I don’t even know why people are making those speculations,” she said. “I don’t know that man.”
On Monday, Ashby dropped a photo into his Instagram Story showing a track-in-progress with “Cardi B,” “Beyoncé,” and “Demo” in the name. The IG post, and the Cardi B x Beyonce pic from Made In America Festival bamboozled us all into thinking there was a real hit on the way.
