In a recent interview, Questlove spoke on what makes Jay-Z so successful.
He said Jay-Z is not afraid try new things. He said Jay is open to all ideas and whatever sticks, he goes with. He also said Jay-Z is not afraid to change his signature style. It’s one of the toughest things an artist can do. It’s the musical equivalent of burning a bag of money.
